September Playlist

It’s apparently fall in LA now, but the heat still keeps coming. September was a great month for new music. Listen to the playlist here x.

Music To Watch Boys To // Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey’s latest album Honeymoon proved to be the best of the best. She is one groundbreaking artist. “Music To Watch Boys To” is one of the best tracks off the album. Besides the song being so sweet it Lana always has a chance to sneak something spectacular in. Lana proves that her powerful controlling voice can mesmerize.

Cool Blue // The Japanese House

Amber Bain is back at it again. “Cool blue” keeps bringing that special unique London sound to the music scene. The song starts off very soft almost gives you some soothing beach vibes. Then Amber powers in to your ears, softy but strong. Bain’s music can sooth any soul at any moment, which can be beautiful to see.

Ease Feat. Broods // Troye Sivan

You may know Troye from his million of subscribers on YouTube, but woah this boy knows how to make music. He released his highly anticipated EP called Wild this past week. “Ease” featuring Broods is beyond infectious. The song itself tells a story and Sivan’s voice mixed with electro-pop gives the song life.

Mountains At My Gates // Foals

A five-piece that brings that indie rock scene from London, Foals are ones you want to watch. “Mountains At My Gates” is off their latest album, What When Down. This song starts off low on the keys but escalates to go hardcore. What makes me listen to it repetitively is Yannis Philippakis raspy lead voice. Plus some of the riffs are killer.

Powerful // Major Lazer Feat. Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley

Mix two powerhouse voices and a fantastic producer, the outcome is one heck of a song. “Powerful” is indeed a well written and magical. The Contrast between Goulding’s and Riley’s tones make the song special. Plus Major Lazer mashed the two voices to add a little flare to “Powerful”.

Losers // The Weeknd Feat. Labrinth

The Weeknd had a huge summer with “Can’t Feel Me Face” and “The Hills”. This past month he dropped his latest record, Beauty Behind The Madness. He had a couple of collaborations up his sleeve and “Losers” was one of them. The Weeknd brought on Lathrinth for this one and it couldn’t have been a better match. Throughout the whole song all the beats and voice combined make this song go hard on another level.

Oceans // Coasts

After touring  and opening for various bands, Coasts have finally made a name for themselves. “Oceans” is a catchy moody song that grabs you attention the second you hear the first lyric. It also makes you question who doesn’t fall in love by ocean when you’re at peace?

Fell In The Sun // Big Grams

Big Boi and Phantogram teamed up together for a collaborative project. That project is one that you don’t want to miss. It’s an odd paring but it works perfectly. The R&B influences are felt throughout the song, which makes it groovy. Plus Big Boi gives the song edge. “Fell In The Sun” is such a jam.

Magnets // Disclosure Feat. Lorde

Brothers of Disclosure just released their recent album , Caracal. With a loaded collaboration track list, the one that caught eyes was “Magnets” with Lorde. This song is produced beautifully in a way where you would catch yourself dancing. Having a great voice like Lorde’s gives a song like this more feeling.
